Victorian Tiled Floor Restoration in Halifax

Just completed this Victorian tiled floor restoration in Halifax, West Yorkshire.

Historically water had penetrated under the front door causing the sub floor to crack and buckle. Lots of tiles had 'popped' off the sub floor with a number of them broken or missing. We located reproduction tiles from a specialist supplier which had been colour matched to the original tiles.

After carefully laying the new tiles we cleaned the rest of the floor and sealed it using a breathable colour enhancer, this type of sealant brings out the earthy colours found in old minton tiled floors.
